How will all of this be funded?
I already have a functional business, and the more help I can get the faster I can expand. I have no peers in the irrigation industry, once the local public learns about what I do I will have no shortage of customers that will form our primary revenue source. This is what “worker-capitalized” means, the work we do will always be our primary means of capitalization.
Can I invest?
We will accept private investment under specific conditions. We will not cede control to moneyed interests, our mission is community development not bank account growth. I can easily promise a positive ROI, but decision-making rests solely with those whose livelihood relies on the company. Our fiduciary duty is first to our communities, second to our workers, and third to our investors. We welcome anyone who believes in our mission to help us make it a reality, and we will ensure you do not lose.

What about crowd funding?
There will be opportunities for crowd-funding to get us off the ground, but I need to retain a lawyer and accountant first as I intend to treat all crowd-funded contributions as personal investments. As in, you are not donating, you will get your money back, but the legal mechanism for this is beyond my ability at the moment.
Why won’t you take donations?
I don’t need to. I can build this business from nothing by myself, but it would take decades. I am interested in investment to accelerate this process, but this will ultimately be a for-profit business and taking donations for that would not suit my ethics. It’s a careful balance of incentives, your kindness is beautiful but would be better directed towards those in need.
Is this some greenwashed scam?
I intend to publish my personal financials every step of the way. I do not seek material wealth, if I did I would be a lot more successful already. I am driven by a conviction and a mission. Our world is fallowed by corruption and fear, if I can kindle even a glimmer of hope for a brighter future then that is how I will spend my life.
